David Goldring is a Registered Trade Mark Attorney in the United Kingdom and a European Trade Mark Attorney.


Until October 2010, David was Head of the United Kingdom operations for the Novagraaf Group and responsible for all aspects of Intellectual Property consultancy and advisory work for the Group in the United Kingdom.


After obtaining a law degree at University College, London, David joined the Trade Marks and Patents Department of a major British food and drinks company in 1977, eventually becoming Group Trade Marks Manager, before leaving after ten years to move into private practice. At this time, David was part of of a small group of in-house Attorneys who organised the setting up of Marques, the European Trade Mark Owners Association, now a leading voice on IP matters. David remains an active member on both the Council and Executive Committee of Marques.


Having worked both in-house and in private practice David has a close understanding of the needs of IP owners, and his experience covers all aspects of IP, especially everything required to select, protect, maintain, progress and exploit a major portfolio of Trade Marks, Designs and Patents throughout the world.
